As Garwah wrote, “The Earth’s magnetism has existed for three billion years and is generated 3,000 kilometers under our feet by the stirring of our planet’s liquid iron core. This liquid iron core causes the Earth to act like a giant magnet; the magnetic lines are organized on a bipolar basis, more or less in alignment with Earth’s rotational axis” (2006, par.1). That invisible force helps us as a magnetic field which is produced by magnetism in the Earth; from the Dept. of Physics & Astronomy University of Tennessee, “Magnetic fields are produced by the motion of electrical charges. For example, the magnetic field of a bar magnet results from the motion of negatively charged electrons in the magnet. The origin of the Earth’s magnetic field is not completely understood, but is thought to be associated with electrical currents produced by the coupling of convective effects and rotation in the spinning liquid metallic outer core of iron and nickel. This mechanism is termed the dynamo ” (n.d, par. 9); in life it is like a compass led by the magnetism in the earth, and shows accurate direction. The system like a compass is used as radar in some vehicles, ships, planes, and military vehicles, and so on. Besides, magnetism is useful for our life; the magnetic field plays a role as a shield from toxic energy. The sun, placed far from the Earth, gives us heat, but it makes a terrible problem called solar wind, and it is toxic for all creatures in the Earth in spite of its benefits. Therefore, magnetism is necessary for our life. However that encouraging force has faded lately; according to Hill, “The movement of the magnetic north pole has caused changes in how much compasses deviate from the geographic North Pole, or true north, Stoner said. A compass reading in Oregon is about 17 degrees east of true north. In 1960, the compass reading would have been 20 degrees east of true north. Although the 3 degree difference seems minor, it’s a relatively rapid shift for only a few decades” (2005, par. 14), and then scientists have not found the solution to this serious problem yet (Porco, 2006). This could be a tremendous problem.

First, the shift of the ecosystem would happen. According to Garwah, “Many animals seem to be able to detect the Earth’s magnetism” (2005, par. 7), and “Pigeons, especially those bred for their homing instincts, seem to be able to detect the Earth’s magnetic fields” (2005, par. 11), so if the magnetic field were lost, many animals that depend on it for their life would panic, and might die because they have lost the accurate direction brought by the magnetic pole from the earth. Then, disappearance of those animals would cause more effect on the ecosystem to other animals next. The creatures that prey on the former animals generally would lose one of their prey for living.

Second, the loss of the magnetic field would also bring up a change in our lives. According to Garwah, “The magnetic stripe on your credit card contains important information about your account in magnetic code. Anything that de-magnetizes the stripe can wipe out the code and make the card unusable” (2005, par. 20). This phenomenon must cause some panic in our life at least. Not only our credit card, but also some devices concerning our lives would also be changed by the loss of the magnetic field.

Third, the environment would invite the wrong problems to all of the lives on the Earth because of the lack of magnetic pole. As Garwah wrote, “The earth and all of life are defended from the dangerous effect of the solar wind” (2005, par. 23); therefore, since we are losing the forceful shield called the earth’s magnetism, the solar wind would make us damaged directly. Consequently, most of our lives and our ecosystem might be ceased.

The effect of the changing magnetism would continue in the future, and it might bring a more negative outcome; therefore, we should consider about what would happen, then how we should cope with that.

The confirmed effect of the magnetism has caused some terrible influence on the Earth and creatures now.

First, the certain animal’s radar that has gone wrong has become a physical consequence now. According to Whitehouse, “The numbers of cetacean – whale, dolphin and porpoise – strandings around the UK have doubled over the last 10 years” (2005, par. 11). This consequence shows that the changing of the magnetism has affected animals that have a personal radar system and are led by the magnetism absolutely. Well, if it were continuing in the future, what would it happen? It is an easy question; the extinction of these animals would occur first, and the food chain must change next. As a result, the ecosystem will have acute damage. Then, our food resources would also sharply decrease after some animals’ extinction occurs.

Next, besides food resources, we would also face the problems related with our lives. Because of the changing magnetism, credit cards would not work well or break their data and lose user’s account, then affected radar system would indicate the wrong direction to the destination. We must adapt to the magnetism change once it changed. For example, we must remake a world map relating the compass with the changed magnetism. However, it must take a long time to fix, and the magnetism has changed nowadays. So, it might be difficult to make accurate maps.

Then, as the aforesaid sentence, every creature on the Earth might be exposed to the solar wind because of the change of the magnetism. Solar wind that is from the Sun’s corona has very high temperature, then the magnetic field of the Earth protects us from the corona that comes from the sun (Hathaway, 2003). However, the magnetic field has faded nowadays. By that changing, the great helpful shield would be penetrated and we could be exposed to deadly gas by the solar wind in the future.

Second, it must also be an important factor whether the faded magnetism will recover or not. As Bentley wrote, the changing magnetism flip-flops which mean the magnetism reverses, and that activity is the primary cause of the decrease of the magnetism (Bentley, 2004). As he wrote, the changing magnetism is caused from the magnetic reversals. However, it is unclear whether the decreased power will be recovered or not, in the sense of being able to be recovered in an environmental cycle, such as ; water, forest, soil, air, or renewable resources.

If the magnetism were not recovered anymore, we must have the possibility of a crisis, as I wrote in first argument. Although, as Bentley wrote, “The earth’s invisible shield could also grow back in strength” (2003, par. 13), magnetic field can be repaired in the future; however, we do not how long the magnetism may take to repair. It might also be enough that we would still be exposed to the effect of the changing magnetism.

Third, we should think about how we should cope with the change of the magnetism, although it seems to be impossible to solve. So, we should know about the magnetism for easing people off a sudden panic caused by some problems from the fading magnetism. I guess that to know about the problem before it happens would help us take connect measures against some issues.

However, the changing magnetism and its effect are not so well known by people, although it has already caused some issues, and will accelerate in the future. The reason that magnetism is not known is that it is a less noticeable phenomena than other environmental problems such as; greenhouse effect, some pollution, overpopulation, and so on, though it has as serious problems as the other environmental problems cause. Besides its inconspicuousness, the precise mechanism of the magnetism has not solved by scientists who are located in the latest frontiers of some topics of science yet.

Today, we have a lot of mediums to get knowledge; television, newspaper, and the Internet. However, people could not know a certain topic absolutely unless they always strain their attention to all kinds of news. Therefore, to make people interested in the magnetism, the most effective way would be amusement.

For example, the Hollywood movie named “The Core,” which modeled the phenomenon of the magnetic field, has already been made (Bentley, 2003); I guess that the appearance of this movie, forced our attention on the magnetism field because it must concern our life. Then, I also came to know about magnetism and some effects when read from some articles and “The magnetic field of the earth’s lithosphere: The satellite perspective” (Langel and Hinze, 1998). Those media made me interested in the magnetism and noticed some problems what it happens in the earth now. For example, “It has been noted (von Frese et al., 1982 a) that higher crustal temperatures are often associated with geodynamic processes that result in crustal thinning, intrusions from the mantle, and isostatically uncompensated topography. This leads to the expectation of an inverse relationships between gravity and magnetic anomalies” (1998, p. 325); I could know that the earth’s thermal quality is related with the magnetism from this sentence. It surprised me because of the really unnoticeable things for me.

The change of the magnetism has affected the earth and creatures there, including us, unnoticeably but absolutely. So, we need to get enough knowledge for coping with the problem.

Finally, we can not cease the change of the magnetism, nor done have the way of the solution about it completely yet. However, we can know about the magnetism and what it has caused in the earth and us now.
So, I hope some people who are related with the media will try to make some works such as the Hollywood movie “The Core,” to show that problem to others. I guess that our knowing about the issue of magnetism beforehand would be connected with the countermeasures against the sudden disasters caused by the magnetism. I will practice those proposals, and make some way to deal with this serious problem although it is too difficult to attain an answer.

Bibliography

Bentley, M. Then, we have got enough benefit from the sea: foods, entertainment, and ways to the other place. According to P. Weber, “Scientific researchers are increasingly turning to the sea in their search for medical cures and unique compounds. They have derived antileukemia drugs from sea sponges, bone-graft material from corals, diagnostic chemicals from red algae anti-infection compounds in shark skin, and many more useful agents ” (2002, page. 44), so, we have benefited really enough from the ocean and creatures who lived there. Now, the sea and some profit in the ocean have filled necessary things for us.

However, that useful area has been caused some problems by us as exploiter. Mainly, it is related with overfishing. Therefore, the number of fish has decreased year after year, and this might be caused by the increase of population, water pollution, or other factors (Weber, 2002). We get fish as one of our foods and it takes an important part in the world’s food consumption. According to Corson, “Coastal waters within 200 miles of land contain more than half the ocean’s total biological productivity and supply nearly all the world’s fish catch” (1999, p. 136), but this average would have decreased today because of some problems. So, I believe we should stop the getting of too much fish because “The world fish catch is approaching the annual total –100 million metric tons—that the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) believes is the most that can be taken sustainably over the long term” (1999, p. 136).

First, we should make some laws against the chemical plant, and the corporations of the fishermen, because of the decreasing the number of the fish. Besides it, we should restrict fishing, which is one kind of our entertainment, and might be the one of the factors of the decrease of the number of fish in the world.

Second, we ought to show this problem to other people, because we would never know the issue until we face it. So, it would better to show the effect of how we pollute the ocean now as “Poison or cause disease in coastal marine life. Contaminate seafood. Fat-soluble toxicants that bioaccumulate in predators” (2002, p. 47).

Third, we should try to clean the ocean and coast respectively. Thrown garbage near the sea causes as much as effect to the creatures in the ocean. For example, I have heard the turtle mistook eating the plastic bag as their food, the jellyfish. Therefore, we should need to clean the sea and coast in order to protecting the creatures in the sea.

Finally, I am really sad about the issue of the ocean because I was brought up in the city near the ocean in my country. The ocean is a helpful factor that we will live on the earth in the future. We need to protect the sea for our lives now.

Reference:

Weber, P. (2002). That invisible force helps us as a magnetic field in life like a compass led by the magnetism in the earth, and shows accurate direction. The system like a compass, is used as radar in some vehicles; ships, planes, and military, and so on. Besides, magnetism is useful for our life; the magnetic field plays a role as a shield. The sun, placed far from the earth, gives us heat, but it makes a terrible problem called solar wind, and it is toxic for all creatures in the earth in spite of its benefits. Therefore, magnetism is necessary for our life, but that encouraging force has faded lately, and scientists have not found the solution to this serious problem.

If the magnetism were lost, some happenings must occur in the world and in our lives. Then we should cope with this serious problem which nobody knows how to solve it.

First, the change of the ecosystem would happen at first. Some animals, mostly birds that have native radar system for going back to their habitant lead by the magnetism. However, all of these birds would be caused to be misled from their primary direction to their home, and also somewhere they may become prey because of the magnetism. Therefore, most birds would be dead because they will not be able to seek the right direction to do what they want to do, or even eat something they need.

Then, our lives with some developed technology would also be affected by the change of the magnetism. For example, according to Garwah, “The magnetic stripe on your credit card contains important information about your account in magnetic code. Anything that de-magnetizes the stripe can wipe out the code and make the card unusable” (2005, par. 20). Now, most of our lives are related with magnetism, that is to say we are bound with the magnetism. Therefore, by the change of the magnetism, we will lose a lot of the useful devices related with the magnetism at first, and will take much time to adapt to that loss.

Next, the change, and fade of the magnetism also mean the loss of the protection against the solar wind, which is a terrible danger to all of the creatures in the earth.

Second, we should find the way to cope with the change of the magnetism. In fact, the changed magnetism is not such famous news to people, although it is very dangerous for our lives and the environment.

So, we should show first people about the serious matter caused by the faded magnetic field. There is so much information and media in these days, so we should be use them. For example, there is a kind of the movie called “The Core,” which shows about magnetism. I guess the best way to solve the issue is to inform people about the problem it first.

Most of the people would know about the magnetism and also be concerned about it because of the information of the change of the magnetism and its danger. Surely, there is not a complete solution to the change of the magnetism, but knowing about the problem before it happens is effective disposal that will protect us from suddenly and huge panic.

Finally, we can know about the danger, and the information about the change of the magnetism, although it is impossible to cope with that yet. Perhaps the information shown about the magnetism might be linked with some people who became interested in the magnetism who would appear and make a solution to that. The importance of the solution is to know first about the problem and what is happening now.

Reference:
Garwah, A. (2006, February 21). The reason I became interested in magnetism is that it has brought an absolute change to the environment and creatures, although it is a slight shift, and not known of by most people.

Magnetism is one of the powers, and according to A. Garwah, “The Earth’s magnetism has existed for three billion years and is generated 3,000 kilometers under our feet by the stirring of our planet’s liquid iron core. This liquid iron core causes the Earth to act like a giant magnet; the magnetic lines are organized on a bipolar basis, more or less in alignment with Earth’s rotational axis” (2006, par. 1), and the Earth’s magnetism protect, all creatures on it from the solar wind that makes us damaged directly (Garwah, 2005). Then, the Earth’s magnetism not only protects us from serious problems but also is the base of our whole lives, a magnetic compass is one example.

However, that helpful power field has come to a crisis. According to Bentley, the fading of the Earth’s magnetic field has been discovered by some scientists (Bentley, 2003); as Bentley wrote, magnetic field has changed and this has had made some effects on us.

First, according to Garwah, “To magnetize a sewing needle, rub it about 20 times on a magnet;” there might be something wrong with the signal to the magnetic pole in the earth. In fact, the shift of the ecosystem would change because of the change of the magnetism in the Earth. According to Garwah, “many animals seem to be able to detect the Earth’s magnetism,” and “Pigeons, especially those bred for their homing instincts, seem to be able to detect the Earth’s magnetic fields,” and according to Whitehouse, “The number of cetacean – whale, dolphin and porpoise – strandings around the UK have doubled over the last 10 years” (2005, par. 11).

Second, magnetism’s alternation will affect our lives in the future. According to Garwah, “The magnetic stripe on your credit card contains important information about your account in magnetic code. Anything that de-magnetizes the stripe can wipe out the code and make the card unusable” (2005, par. 20).

Third, the loss of the magnetism would be broken through the magnetic field as the helpful shield by the solar wind, therefore, we could not be guarded directly, and would be damaged then.

I plan to write about the supposition that what would happen if the magnetism were continued, and the way to cope with it in the argument. However, this problem is filled with mystery, and it is difficult to come up with particular solution, so it will be a kind of suggestion.

At first, I would write about the problems that would happen until the magnetism were recovered. There would be some phenomena, not only the effect of the solar wind.

Next, I would suggest how we should show that problem to other people, because the changing magnetism is not so much known by most people now. However, we have a lot of media in the world, so the proposal of using some information would be best way to deliver the information of the change of the magnetism.

Finally, I will practice those proposals, and make some way to deal with this serious problem although it is too difficult to attain an answer.

Reference:
Bentley, M. Bentley brought up mainly the problems in his article, “Scientists have known for some time that the Earth’s magnetic field is fading,” and then all of them shows the affect of the decreasing magnetism in the earth.

After reading “Earth loses its magnetism,” I became interested more in the change of the magnetism.

First, I had thought of the magnetic field that guards the earth and almost every lives lived there as a powerful shield from the solar wind, which is a dangerous threat to us, but it would not be able to recover easily like the environment. However, according to Bentley, “The Earth’s invisible shield could also grow back in strength,” I guess this means we would not need to worry about the loss of the magnetic power.

Second, I was surprised at the Hollywood movie named “The Core,” which is modeled the phenomenon of the magnetic field, and is already made (Bentley, 2003); I guess that by with the appearance of this movie, which forced our attentions on the magnetic field, people would be interested in magnetism because it must concern our life. According to Garwah, “ to magnetize a sewing needle, rub it about 20 times on a magnet” (2006, par. 18); this shows that most of the devices which support our life would be affected by the change of the magnetism. As definition to the one of the environmental problems, “The Core” could be good help in making people interested in magnetism.

Third, I also have kept the thought that the change of the magnetic field is just a bad situation to the earth. However, Bentley wrote, “Although there would be extra radiation exposure to satellites and some airplanes, there would also be enough of a residual field to provide protection to people, and certainly no more radiation than what is observed at the poles, where the field lines currency dip” (2003, par. 26). As his description implies, there is not only bad things; one of the good examples is the ability to see the aurora activity because of alteration.

Finally, this article changed my thoughts about the change of the magnetism. I had thought the loss of magnetic power would bring up only pessimistic occurrence, but it was my misunderstanding. As Bentley wrote, since the magnetism would be recovered, we do not need to be worrying so much about the loss of the magnetism.

Reference:

Bentley, M (2003, December 31). For example, the magnetic field of the earth helps creatures by protecting them from the dangerous effect of the solar wind. However, although the magnetic field has reminded hot even until today, this helpful power might be changed, and this would bring dangerous problems to us.

After reading “Earth’s Magnetism and Magnetic Field,” I noticed that I have never thought deeply about the benefit of the magnetic field from the core of the earth in my life. We have kept the blessing of the magnetic field; however, Garwah wrote, “To magnetize a sewing needle, rub it about 20 times on a magnet,” it might be something wrong signal to the magnetic pole in the earth. So, if that helpful power were lost, what would happen in the environment, and in our lives?

First, the shift of the ecosystem would happen. According to Garwah, “Many animals seem to be able to detect the Earth’s magnetism,” and “Pigeons, especially those bred for their homing instincts, seem to be able to detect the Earth’s magnetic fields,” so if the magnetic field were lost, many animals that depend on it for their life would panic, and might die because they have lost the accurate direction brought by the magnetic pole from the earth.

Anything that de-magnetizes the stripe can wipe out the code and make the card unusable;” this phenomenon must cause some panic in our life at least. Not only our credit card, but also some devices concerning our lives would also be changed by the loss of the magnetic field. The radar system has been used in some situations, and one of them is to use topography for searching the ocean floor with “magnetic exploration and depth-sounding devices” (par. 8).

Third, the environment would invite the wrong problems to all of the lives on the earth by the lack of magnetic pole. As Garwah wrote, “The Earth and all of life are defended from the dangerous effect of the solar wind” (par. 23); therefore, since we are losing the forceful shield called the earth’s magnetism, the solar wind would make us damaged directly. Consequently, most of our lives would be ceased, and ecosystem would break completely.

Finally, there are a lot of the serious problems caused by the loss of the magnetic field. Regrettably, I am not sure of the solution to that problem, but according to Garwah, “One thing we do know is the core of the Earth is still hot today, keeping the magnetic field in place and driving continental drift,” so I guess the cause of the lack of the magnetic field is brought by the high degree of temperature. Therefore, I guess if we wrestled with the environmental problem like the greenhouse effect, the loss of the magnetic field would be able to be squashed.

Reference:
Garwah, A. High degree of the temperature makes the ice shelf where polar bears live melted, and has reduced the habitat of polar bears. Polar bears’ deaths here happened when they go to swim into the sea for taking their food. Reducing their habitat by high temperature makes the distance between habitat and the place they can get their foods farther, and has made it different and dangerous for polar bears to come back there, and they die half way to their house.

I guess the high degree of the temperature is mainly caused by things that are related with our life, and if the reduction of the ice shelves continues more, we would face serious issue, not only with polar bears but also with our own lives.

First, the cause of the death of polar bears is caused by high degree of the temperature, and I guess this is brought by factor, related with our lives. We made some useful materials so our living could be convenient; a car, plane, ship, refrigerator, and more and more items. However, all of them generate carbon dioxide when they are used some ways to drive by people. So much carbon dioxide makes the earth warm, and keeps it warm. Therefore, the severe conditions melt the ice shelves and produce the death of polar bears.

Second, melting ice would change its form to water, and the sea level also rises more than before. Then, it would cause a big disaster, called “tidal wave” or “tsunami”, to many countries near the sea. At least, the rising sea level would cover the lands lower than it, and it would deprive people, and some animals that live in there of a lot of their lives.

Third, if polar bears were made extinct by the increasing temperature, the balance of the ecosystem would be changed. According to Iredale (2006, par. 10), “they hunt near the edge, where the ice is thinnest, catching seals when they make holes in the ice to breath”, so if there were no polar bears, seals eaten essentially by them would b able to get the possibility to live longer. As a result, too many seals would bring the environment into a new change of the ecosystem, and it would break the ecosystem again, and it would be continued.

Finally, the high degree of the temperature causes some serious issues to not only polar bears but also us. I guess the death of polar bears would the indication of the crisis in all of our lives. Therefore, we should be careful and wrestle with such a serious problem for reducing carbon dioxide and preventing the ascent of the temperature.

Reference:

Iredale, W. Most residents in Murphysboro and Carbondale are protesting the plan to build a new Wal-Mart supercenter in Murphysboro-Carbondale notwithstanding there are various store which are included in not only chain stores but also independents, then Carbondale has already Wal-Mart supercenter.

Residents in Murphysboro and Carbondale mainly worry about their own profit that for living would be intercepted by two of them. According to Jacobs, N, most of the reason that residents in Murphysboro and Carbondale are objecting a plan which is to build a new Wal-Mart in Murphysboro-Carbondale because of the decreasing their incomes (Jacobs, 2005). Then, what is Wal-Mart supercenter? it is a famous store in some countries in the world and it deals with a variety of items: foods, clothes, domestic articles, toys, etc, and they can sell them more and cheaper to customers. According to Hopkins, J. (2003, par. 3), “Wal-Mart is the top seller of groceries, jewelry and photo processing. It is creating more of its own brands. Some, such as OI’ Roy dog food and Equate vitamins, quickly became the USA’s top sellers. It averages 100 million customers a week. That’s 88.5 million more people than U.S. airlines fly in a week.” Therefore, it looks like a very useful store to the customers in Murphysboro and Carbondale.

However, the above advantage would cause serious problems to small business workers’ profit in Murphysboro, which is the town where they plan to build the new Wal-Mart supercenter.

First, the convenience of the Wal-Mart supercenter will deprive small business workers of profit. Generally speaking, Wal-Mart supercenter robs, and takes customers away from small business customers who often come to shop in small workers’ stores, and it also robs independent workers of income with more and cheaper, goods. Second, profit depriving by Wal-Mart supercenter in Murphysboro-Carbondale would make small business customers lose their job, and turn them out to leave somewhere to get a new job. Third, Murphysboro and Carbondale would get less income from taxation than previously from small business workers if the new
Wal-Mart supercenter were made there.

There are many protesters against the new Wal-Mart supercenter which will be built in Murphysboro, and which will make residents be damaged. I wonder if Wal-Mart supercenter is really needed by residents in Murphysboro-Carbondale? Wal-Mart supercenter clearly causes economic problems for other stores. For example, according to R. French, (2006, par. 1), “Christian bookstore owner Stave Gray was counting on big sales from the Left Behind series –until Wal-Mart supercenter started selling the titles much cheaper. ‘That hurt us big time’, Gray said, ‘We had invested a lot into those books.’” This article means that most Wal-Mart supercenters would deprive some business stores of their sales with their wide variety of goods and cheap price. As a result, many small business workers would lose not only their job but also their life in their town.

Independent store workers will not be able to sell some products cheaper and more than the Wal-Mart supercenter because of certain problems. One of the reasons is fame. According to Locke, E. (2005, par. 1), “Wal-Mart is one of the most impressive success stories in the history of business”. Being famous supports some businesses and Wal-Mart supercenter is not only a famous store, but also has a great power to deal with business. Therefore, every independent worker who does not have fame and history does not run their job like a Wal-Mart; for that reason, most customers want to go to Wal-Mart supercenter and shop for some products because they more inexpensive than those is independent workers’ shop. Consequently, the independent workers who are robbed of their profit by Wal-Mart would lose their own job, and then find it necessary to leave Murphysboro or Carbondale for other cities and seek a new job for their life. Although there are serious possibilities to build a new Wal-Mart supercenter in Murphysboro-Carbondale, is there a need to make that supercenter?

Next, we should think about the future about of Murphysboro and Carbondale. The main reason the new Wal-Mart in Murphysboro –Carbondale is welcomed by the other advocates is taxation from the new Wal-Mart supercenter. I think we should think about the future in our domicile. About the future, Haley Murray (2005, par. 16) said, “Basabta also questioned why another Wal-Mart supercenter is less than 6 miles from the proposed site.” In fact, Wal-Mart supercenter already exists in Carbondale, and around it. This means that if new Wal-Mart were in Murphysboro-Carbondale, what would it cause to residents there?

I guess that the Wal-Mart super center in Carbondale would have its profit taken away by the new Wal-Mart in Murphysboro, because customers prefer their useful, and helpful style for shopping. For that reason, most independent workers would not gain profit from their business, would lose their job, and have to leave their hometown for the other cities to get a new job. The most hopeful reason that almost every advocates wants from the new Wal-Mart in Murphysboro-Carbondale is taxation from that super center (Murray, 2005). Then, the gathered taxation will be used for the management of Murphysboro and Carbondale. Surely, most of the taxation today is based on tax from the small business workers, although Wal-Mart supercenter would be able to get much taxation. According to Randy, Auxier. (2005, par. 10), “Murphysboro should not be foolish enough to believe that the right way to fix its financial problems is sales tax revenue from Wal-Mart.” The taxation they hope for would help Murphysboro, but would come at the expense of both Murphysboro and Carbondale.

Previously mentioned, there is already a Wal-Mart in Carbondale; if a new Wal-Mart were built in Murphysboro, there would two Wal-Mart supercenter, which are less than 6 miles apart. I guess that two supercenters would scramble for their own profit and decreasing income, because before the plan to make a new Wal-Mart in Murphysboro, there are many customers coming to the Wal-Mart in Carbondale for shopping. However, the existence of the new Wal-Mart in Murphysboro will become a new rival because almost every customer who lives near the new one and had gone there will stop going to go to Wal-Mart in far place. Therefore, Wal-Wart in Carbondale must will probably have a decrease in profits.

Then, those problems are not only for two the Wal-Mart supercenter, but also will reach Murphysboro and Carbondale themselves. By building a new Wal-Mart in Murphysboro, most independent workers would suffer heavy losses in business, will be cornered into unemployment gradually, and then most business in Murphysboro and Carbondale would leave their hometown to find another job to live. In addition to them, Murphysboro and Carbondale will become unable to gain profit from taxation of independent workers.
Ironically, the new Wal-Mart supercenter which is wished to gain more profit for both cities would cause some serious problems to them, if the new Wal-Mart supercenter were built in Murphysboro-Carbondale.

What should we do to avoid the serious problems brought by the new Wal-Mart in Murphysboro? In my opinion, it shall be necessary to gather signatures against the new Wal-Mart supercenter in Murphysboro-Carbondale for the reason of everyone’s profit.

For collecting signatures, cooperation with residents in Murphysboro and Carbondale is absolutely needed. We must show steadily our aim and why are we objecting to the new Wal-Mart supercenter in Murphysboro-Carbondale to other residents who are indifferent to the new Wal-Mart and what it would cause to their hometown. After collecting signatures, we should hand in it to the specific place which can accept and execute our requirement..

Besides signatures, the cooperation of each of us will also be needed to stop the new Wal-Mart supercenter in Murphysboro-Carbondale. According to Emily Kaiser (2003, par. 10), “Peterson’s anti-supercenter group calls itself ‘Uff-da Wal-Mart,’ using a Norwegian expression of displeasure to reflect the community’s roots.” To join them for changing the plan to build the new Wal-Mart supercenter in Murphysboro-Carbondale would be the effective way to opposite it.

Until our requirement would be accepted, the plan to build the new Wal-Mart supercenter is cancelled, we should keep considering the disadvantages that would be caused by the new Wal-Mart: depression, unemployment, and devastation in Murphysboro-Carbondale, and continue opposing the construction of it with the strong belief.

In conclusion, I got information from articles about the opposition to Wal-Mart in Murphysboro-Carbondale and became interested in the reason they are in conflict with each other, and their serious problems. I guessed about what is the best solution, and how we should deal with the plan to build the new Wal-Mart supercenter in Murphysboro-Carbondale. My knowledge about this problem was not enough to understand all of this conflict, so I still need to read more articles and much information of it. However, I can say that we should make the manager of the Wal-Mart supercenter quit buildings if we really wish to maintain our hometowns.

Bibliography:

French, R. We have researched about Wal-Mart supercenter and what would happen to Murphysboro-Carbondale. So, I do not agree with a plan to make a new Wal-Mart there.

First, what is Wal-Mart supercenter? According to Hopkins, J. (2003, par 3), “Wal-Mart is the top seller of groceries, jewelry and photo processing. It is creating more of its own brands. Some, such as OI’ Roy dog food and Equate vitamins, quickly became the USA’s top sellers. It is moving into banking, used for sales, travel and Internet access. It averages 100 million customers a week. That’s 88.5 million more people than U.S. airlines fly in a week.” Wal-Mart supercenter has various products which it can sell cheaply, and more to their customers. Both cities already have a Wal-Mart supercenter.

Second, Wal-Mart is a convenient and useful store for customers, so there are some advocates who want it to be built in Murphysboro-Carbondale. N. Jacobs (2005, par. 4) said, “Some Murphysboro and Carbondale residents are protesting a new Wal-Mart supercenter in Murphysboro because they fear it will destroy the town’s small business and the quality of life for some of its citizens.” Jacobs means that some small business workers who have a job in Murphysboro-Carbondale worry about being deprived of their profit and then losing their jobs because of the new Wal-Mart supercenter in their town.

Third, most of the reasons the protesters have are about profit and their own job, but there is another serious problem. According to Randy Auxier, (quoted by N. Jacobs, 2005, par. 10), “Murphysboro should not be foolish enough to believe that the right way to fix its financial problems is sales tax revenue from Wal-Mart.” Taxation in Murphysboro-Carbondale is usually gained from people who include some small workers. However, if the new Wal-Mart is built in Murphysboro-Carbondale, Depriving them of their profit, and then making them lose their jobs. Murphysboro-Carbondale would be not able to get income from them. The taxation from Wal-Mart may be large surely, but it must be smaller than the profit from each of the small business workers.

The new Wal-Mart in Murphysboro-Carbondale would make some problems to the resident, and town. Wal-Mart is a very famous, great, and helpful store for customers. Therefore, they would be welcomed by customers if it were built, but the new Wal-Mart would also make Murphysboro-Carbondale bad, because of losing job to small business workers and profit as a taxation to those towns.

Conclusion, we should not agree with new Wal-Mart’s building in Murphysboro-Carbondale because of the future of both cities. It is necessary to guess whether the new Wal-Mart will make a real profit to residents, business, and cities themselves. Murphysboro and Carbondale can keep themselves without that useful store, so we do not need to have another Wal-Mart supercenter.

Reference:
Jacobs, N. Some people in Murphysboro and Carbondale protested about a new Wal-Mart supercenter in their life. According to Nicky Jacobs (2005, par 6), “Some Murphysboro and Carbondale residents are protesting a new Wal-Mart supercenter in Murphysboro-Carbondale because they fear it will destroy the town’s small business and the quality of life for some of its citizens.” In fact Wal-Mart supercenter is a famous store not only in the United States but also in some other countries. Wal-Mart supercenter has various kinds of goods: foods, clothes, domestic articles, toys, etc. Besides, Wal-Mart supercenter can sell them cheaper than the other stores. However, the advantage would cause serious problems to small business workers and their profit in Murphysboro, which is the town where they plan to make the new Wal-Mart supercenter. First, the convenience of the Wal-Mart supercenter will deprive small business workers of profit. Generally speaking, small business workers, people who run independent job, would not be able to stock so much and different types of goods, and then sell it cheaper to customers like Wal-Mart supercenter can, economically. Therefore, Wal-Mart would deprive small business workers of customers who often come to shop in small workers’ stores, and it also robs independent workers of income with more, cheaper, and better goods. Second, profit depriving by Wal-Mart supercenter in Murphysboro-Carbondale would make small business customers lose their jobs and turn out to leave somewhere for a new job. Third, Murphysboro and Carbondale would not get income as taxation lower than previously from small business workers, if the new Wal-Mart supercenter is made there.

We guess we should worry about the future in our domicile. In the future, Haley Murray (2005, par. 16), said, “Basabta also questioned why another Wal-Mart supercenter is necessary, because the Carbondale Wal-Mart supercenter is less than 6 miles from the proposed site.” In fact, Wal-Mart supercenter already exists in Carbondale, and around it, there are many stores, including independent ones. New Wal-Mart in Murphysboro-Carbondale will cause the loss of workers’ jobs and the decline of the city, because the city is composed of people and developed by the taxation from them. Moreover, independent workerswould lose their job and this problem that is concerned with their life will necessitate their leaving to another city, and seeking out their next job to keep their life. Therefore, we should also consider how to deal with the problems that are brought bu new Wal-Mart supercenter. It shall be necessary to gather signatures against the new Wal-Mart supercenter in Murphysboro-Carbondale for the reason of everyone’s profit. Besides signatures, it would require the cooperation of eacn of us to stop the new Wal-Mart in Murphysboro-Carbondale.

I got information from articles about the opposition to Wal-Mart in Murphysboro-Carbondale and became interested in the reason they are in conflict with each other, and their serious problems. It was not enough to understand all of this collision, so I still need to read more articles and get information about it.

Reference:

jacobs, N.(2005, April 1). Generally, capitalism’s mean is to get profit that is balanced money between employee’s income and price of the production. On the other hand, free-market system is an economic system that is a way to be dependent by money though workers can spend money to produce whatever they want. So I agree with Wal-Mart will come to the Carbondale-Murphysboro. If they come there, some people would be able to gain more profit by the Wal-Mart.

First, Wal-Mart is famous store in some countries, and have a great deal of goods: foods, clothes, medicine, etc. Besides it, all of items are lower than the other stores. Therefore, people must have gotten almost items what they want and it also help their money and family life more. Moreover, workers can be gotten much money by capitalism’s thought if Wal-Mart move in Carbondale-Murphysboro.

Second, making Wal-Mart will circulate much money and generate prosperity in two cities Carbondale-Murphysboro. The tax which is paid by consumers will be gathered by the government, and collected money next would be used the development to Carbondale-Murphysboro :repairing or making to public building, and income for officers. It also means to improve their own life.

Finally, I approve of Wal-Mart’s moving into the Carbondale-Murphysboro because of almost every people might be able to get a great profit which is gained by a only famous supercenter. I consider that if movement of the Wal-Mart cancel, It would be causes disadvantage to there.

About “ Local opposition to future Wal-Mart Supercenter in Murphysboro.”

In the article, “Local opposition to future Wal-Mart Supercenter in Murphysboro,” N. Jacobs says that some people who live in Murphysboro and Carbondale have been objecting to a new Wal-Mart in their town. Protesters organized a group named “No-Mart,” against Wal-Mart to defend citizen’s business, profit, and life. They are basically fearing economic pressure from the Wal-Mart supercenter. However, there is also approval to have a new Wal-Mart because of financial problems in Murphysboro. Finally, this protesting might be continuing.

“I do not think it is such a good idea to build a new Wal-Mart in Murphysboro,” it was my first impression of this article after reading it. Surely, Wal-Mart is a very useful and helpful supercenter, and then I often go to there for shopping. That supercenter is open all the time and deals with so many items.

Firstly, if a new Wal-Mart is built in Murphysboro, a lot of local businesses would face a problem of profit from their job. Wal-Mart has still more items synthetically, and sells their cheaper the other independent stores. How does its difference affect local businesses? Generally speaking, independents will be deprived of their own profit by Wal-Mart supercenter at least because of systemic backup is a system which can have a power to gain a plenty of item from a great deal of distributor, and Wal-Mart can sell it to customers more and cheaper than individuals. It is obvious that Wal-Mart has several ways to treat a great deal of goods more and cheaper than the others. So, the local stores which ought not to have a big supporter like a Wal-Mart. Besides, getting less money makes some small business owners lose their job, and causes severe living.

Secondly, I guess tax income from Wal-Mart is not so important thing for Murphysboro. Some approvers have a reason why they accept New Wal-Mart would be related to the tax revenue from the new Wal-Mart, though there is already one, next to Murphysboro and some stores would be existed. A large amount of revenue from Wal-Mart supercenter might be brought to Murphysboro in earnings and the town would be enriched. However, would it be a temporarily thing? Or is this also exaggerated? “There are 3,000 Stores in the U.S.” (2005), as this article says, so many Wal-Mart supercenters are in some places not only U.S but some area in the world.

Finally, I guess that again that Wal-Mart should not to be built a new one in Murphysboro because it has the possibility to cause some problems that affect citizen’s lives greatly. A town is not only composed of Wal-Mart’s profit, but also of many businesses which support it with much financial taxes.

Reference:
Jacobs, N. (2005, April 1). Haley also says this agreement has caused long disputation since it was made. Mainly, the other stores are likely to say that new Wal-Mart will collect sales, which Murphysboro wants. But opponents are more worried that the county (US) will be taxed to support roads, trafic, etc. However, there are people who want to Wal-Mart exist because of a tax for the city. Finally, Murphysboro is contacting with serious problem of the annexation.

I was surprised about Murphysboro’s problem of the annexation to Wal-Mart. Though Wal-Mart is such a big, useful supercenter, there are inevitable problems.

First, a problem is with people who live near a famous building like Wal-Mart being concerned by it. When we make some new structure like a house, hospital, bar, etc, a lange estate is absolutely needed to build them. However, people think about themselves after building them. If it were a bar, it would worry neighbors about noise. I have heard a story when my brother lived in an apartment close to the bar by him. According to him, sometimes he was bothered that people who went to the bar and then returned to their house shouted or messed around his apartment, so he got in trouble.

Second, profit is also problem in annexation. As in this article, if Murphysboro will not annex Wal-Mart, the city would not get money as tax of sales, or property tax. It means that the city does not keep developing and then it will go out of use, and then the city can not use the money for themselves. But if there are famous buildings which can be useful, and helpful, it would attract many people who need them, and then the city might be become active again. However, it is too hard a story and has the possiblity to be irretrievable. Though it is such a famous store whose sales are so much greater than other place, it does not always succeed. Therefore, it is so difficult to decide whether to build or not because of their process,or profit.

Finally, this article shows about annexation to Wal-Mart in Murphysboro, and I guess that mainly the cause is issue of living place, the profit of annexation. However, it must be impossible to evaluate whether one is able to succeed or not by business. Besides, there are many items and a large parking area, so people like Wal-Mart. However, some people do not want it to be more extended. Pererson, a reader of “Uff-da Wal-Mart,” the group which opposes a super center, mention assert that people who want to the smoothly traffic in the town will not stay that area if the Wal-Mart was made near the their domicile because of Wal-Mart’s amplitude and popularity. Besides, Wal-Mart has many supporters who hope Wal-Mart would be developed more and more.

I guess Wal-Mart is a very helpful and useful store because of selection of goods its extent like a baseball stadium, and business hours. When I first came to the United State from Japan, I had never seen Wal-Mart. First, They sold whatever we need, foods, medicine, clothes, furniture, electrical appliance, and so on. Besides, they have so much room that they can arrange merchandise adequately. Second, they work every day and every nights. Though I went to Wal-Mart in the Middle of the night, employees worked ordinarily even past three o’clock. Third, they have convenience cash register that makes our shopping smooth with a self check out counter.

Finally, quantity, large space, and work time, I think these are some of the reasons Wal-Mart is a famous super center. Wal-Mart is a really useful and helpful mega store to me.

Reference:
Kaiser, E. (2003, July 12). Some Cities Resisting Wal-Mart Expansion. Reuters. Since long times ago, body language has been very common way to support our speaking for transmitting mean. For the reasons, not all of which are clear to researchers, we are quick to believe nonverbal behaviors even when these behaviors contradict verbal messages. (Leahers, 1990) reported that nonverbal behavior is needed whenever we talk with someone.
Body language includes hand gesture, eye contact, and facial expressions mainly. Each of them also has many kinds of meanings to express users feeling and emotion like touching his/her chin that means they are thinking something.
Our group, M, Vale and I, determined to find out how is different body language that people use by their ethnicity, age, and relationship. Mainly, we studied to people’s hand gesture, eye contact, and facial expression.
I had thought that black would record higher degree to use body language than white, and Asian. Then, Asian will not use body language more than others because in the entire American movies, most white and black use body language to show their emotion by using their body. Conversely, Asian people don’t tend to use body language in their conversation because of their culture. I’m also Asian and I had seldom used body language in my home country, Japan. Most Japanese think when they talk with people and use vivid body language they give unpleasant feeling to listeners.

Methods and Procedures:

In the SIUC Student Center, I watched and guessed about five males (three white and two black), and seven females (four white, two black, and one Asian). Three of males were eighteen to thirty five years old and others were thirty five to sixty: six of females were eighteen to thirty five and one was thirty six to sixty. Twelve of people’s relationships seemed to be friends, and others seemed to be boy friend/ girl friend. Then, I looked for their body language: hand gesture, eye contact, and facial expressions when they are talking with someone.

Result:

The survey, on the whole, represented the very interesting consequence that all of them use Body language. Especially, touching own chin or mouth with their hand is highest record in Hand gesture. Furthermore, it is mainly done among lovers, and 30- 65 age people, and black’s gesture was most activity among white and Asian. They used moving with the hand, grabbing hand and touching own mouth, touching own chin, moving a pen in own hand. In Eye contact, Direct eye contact was most common among all of the people. However, some 18-35people don’t look at their partner’s eye directly. Laugh is most ordinary facial expression to show emotion on the face like serious, boring, smiley, enjoyable.

Discussion and conclusion:

It was not surprising that black and white used Body language so many times in conversation. They seemed to attempt to use for representing their feeling and supporting their verbal message. I could look through speaker or listener’s meaning that facial expression, and imagine their think easily.
It was surprising to me that Asian female use as much Body language like as black and white, but eye contact was not done to partner.
It was interesting to me that all of old people who I examined tend to use a lot of body language than young. Probably, it based on their experience.
If I were to do this survey over again, I would like to prepare this survey to compare with a balanced number of people determined precisely by ethnic, age, and relationship because my survey ran short of information, the results are lopsided.

Reference:
Seal, B. I want to pass it early and go to SIUC, therefore, I should study hard to pass the exam.
Third, I also have to study how to drive a car and comprehend about American traffic roles because I always inconvenience not to go to far place without cars. When i o to shopping for geting foods, I always depend on my brother, who has a car, but he is SIUC student and he always busy. Therefore, it is difficult to go anywhere by myself.
Finally, I have a some troubles before coming Thanks giving days. I will go to Chicago with my brother and his friends, but I worried about how to cope with my problems. I have a dream to talk with people who use English in their life because today, we can go any countries with plane and then, we also need to cooperate with each other in some situations. For instance, if we make or transport foods, medicine, book, and so many things, we would be needed to use foreign languages. Especially, English is most popular language in the world.
Before coming to the United states, I was taught how English is important language by my family and my high school English teacher. At first, I didn't suppose to go to the United States to study foreign language. Why I study Engllish more? Is it enough to study until high school? However, it was my fault. After graduating high school, I came here and I felt my insufficient ability of speaking, listening, and writing. I was shocked this resolution and sensed chagrin.
Since I experienced to know upper things, I wish to know, speak, and understand English from the bottom of my heart. Learning foreign language is be able to expand our possibility I think and Studying English is my decision.

Essay, "Problems of International Students"

After coming to the United States, I am really enjoying my life. Actually, I could make some friends from different countries by going to CESL and by meeting my brother's friends. Besides, I could find many good things which differ from my home country, Japan, so It was different in my home town. However, the life in America always impose on me some problems.
First, I am always bothered by my English skills: speaking, listening, and writing. Although I have been living in the united states, I still can't use English that is satisfactory to me. When I talk with my friends in English, I translate what I want to say from japanese into English. I think it may be good way to make conversation, but speaking after translating causes us to lose time. Therefore, communication is broken down. English is difficult for me though I keep trying to understand. I also worry about my listening ability/ Surely, I learned a lot of English before coming here. Nevertheless, it is not enough to understand what English speakers say. Probably, a shortage of vocabulaly causes these problems because when I hear new news words. I am always confused and thinking to mean what is the best way to use English. In addition, conversation compounds speaking and listening, so it bothers me more than other problems. In conversation with my partner, my lost time by thinking to make sentence and trying to understand what spraker means would make him be bored.
Second, sometimes I miss Japanese foods. Naturally, there are restaurants which serve it but I feel Japanese foods in America are something different from Japan. For that reason, almost all marine products must be frozen, but I am never satisfied with this. I can get seasoning to make Japanese foods in international store, but it isit is so far from my apartment without car. I don't have a driver's license, much less acar. For that reason, I can't go easily to the International foods store without my brother, who has a driver's license and a car.
Third, I am worried about TOEFL. I want to go to the SIUC but it requires not only significant English skills but also high TOEFL score. I have taken it 3 times in CESL, however, it was too difficult to read for me, much less listen well. So, passing TOEFL is one of my goals in my life. While I work hard to study English with TOEFL exercise books for understanding English and getting high TOEFL score, I can't work easily because of homeworks. Most of days, I fell asleep after finishing it without studying TOEFL.
I have mainly communication, foods, and studying problems. they are always hanging over my head, but I must manage those problems without deciding to give up.

Summary and Response, "Types of Love."

Summary:

In the article "Types of Love," Bernard Seal states there are different characteristic of love: ludus, storge, mania, pragma, and eros. First, ludus lovers think love is a just game to amuse themselves. Therefore, they often tend to change their partner. Second, storge lovers don't give a passion and strength for love. They usually attempt to relate with someone who has same interest and activities, so they think love is a friendship. Third, mania lovers have a feeling of extreme love, they can be afraid to break up and lose their partner. Therefore, they try to keep partner's attention and want to be loved by their lover. Forth, pragma lovers search for practical and conferrable relationships that satisfy their needs and desires like social services. In addition, they apt to set up relationships with people who have good abilities. They think love is convenient thing for them. Finally, eros lovers are the people who desire to get an idealized image for their partner, so they can't feel satisfied. They are philosophic and also discriminating people. Types of love have different characteristics.

Response:

From the article "Types of Love," I find that there are five kinds of love: ludus, storge, mania, pragma, and eros. Especially, I'm interested in two lovers- ludus and mania love. However, I don't like ludus love because ludus lovers think love is just game, and then they often change their partners when they tire of their present lovers. Mania love, extreme love, has a negative part which is excessive depression, jealously, and self doubt. It make their partner wearisome, therefore, the relationship of mania lovers can be broken. However, mania love is has contrastive part to ludus love. It seems to be good for the couple who got married to maintain their love. I think most of the reason why the people divorce is caused by losing love. So, mania love is maybe good for lovers.
They have different characteristics but they are also incomplete love. When I experience love, I would heed love’s peculiarities.

About "Catch Me If You Can" #2

I think Frank Jr. is tactful, zealous, but lonesome young boy. He tried eagaly to get money. However he really seemed to seek for something except money. After seizing, he escaped from passenger plane which Carl Hanratty and FBI agents used to remand Frank from France to The United States, and went to Frank Jr's mother's house.
I guess what he actually want to get is house which their was his family, and was lost by money problem. Maybe he thought that If he has plenty of money, he would take back his happines.

I think Frank W. Abagnale, Sr., Frank Jr.'s father, is very smart guy. In the movie, he taught Frank Jr. to deal with women, and pretend. Acutually, his son, Frank Jr. pretend his father's driver in the movie. I can find that Frank Jr. succeeded father's characteristics from his father's activity.

I found that Carl Hanartty is stubborn and also gentle man because some times he concerned hardly about Frank Jr. in the movie. I don't understand why Carl worry about frank Jr. who deceived Carl when they met at first time.

I'm interested in Amy Adams because she was very poor. She kept deceived by Frank Jr. until FBI agent came her house to catch him in their wedding party. She would be happy then, but her husband was fraud, and his real name what she knew was incorrect. It must be so shocked for her.

"Catch Me If You Can" is one man's story. Frank W. Abagnale Jr. who has good parents and luxurious house. They enjoyed their happy and gorgeous life but it was broken suddenly by Frank W Abagnale's failure of his business. Their life was inverted but Frank Jr. got along in his school life with his clever skills. However, his parents's divorce made him to choice his own life. Would he go to live with his father or mother or･･･?.

I like this movie's souund truck. Especially, The music that plays in title or Frank Jr. was chased by Carl Hanrattly make me feel tension like a someone tries to seize me but I don't know who is he/her.

I don't have any bad parts for this movie. I think "Catch Me If You Can" is good for knowing young human's complicated mind. Therefore, I want to recommend this movie.

About “Types of Love”

Summary of “Types of Love”

In the article “Types of Love,” Bernard Seal states there are different characteristic of love: ludus, storge, mania, pragma, and eros, and each of them has various features. First, ludus lovers think love is a just game to amuse themselves. Therefore, they often tend to change their partner. Second, storge lovers don’t give a passion and strength for love. They usually attempt to relate with someone who has same interest and activities, so they think love is a friendship. Third, mania lovers have a feeling of extreme love. They can be afraid to break up and lose their partner. Therefore, they try to keep partner’s attention and want to be loved by their partner, Fourth, pragma lovers search for practical and conferrable relationships that satisfy their needs and desires like social services. In addition, they are at to set up relationships with people who have good abilities. They think love is convenient thing for them. Finally, eros lovers are the people who desire to get an idealized image for their partner, so they can’t feel satisfied. They are philosophic and also discriminating people. I also enjoy his acting and admire his attitude to the other movie. For example, .CAST AWAY(2000), The Green Mile(1999), and Forrest Gump(1994), he play kind of role into these movies as the man who is stranded alone at the desert island, serious warder, and the man who is less of intellligence quotient.

He acts an FBI agent in this movie. I guess his personality is obstinate and also a little careless. When he attempted to locate Leonrdo DiCaprio as Frank W. Abagnale, he confused to pull on his gun. In addition, His shout when he was deceived by Frank Jr make me to feel that Carl is a slightly careless person.

He has a problem to catch Frank Jr who is frauder. However, Frank Jr's clever skill interrupt Carl and FBI agents.

I think Carl will catch Frank Jr but Frank Jr also run away from somewhere like beginning scene, and then their chase can be continued.

My favorite musician

My favorite musitian is Billy Joel. He is active as a solo singer now,
but he formed a band whose name was Echoes in 1964. Afterwards he worked with
The Hastles, which is a Long Island band; besides, he moved on to a rock duo named Attila and then he began recording his first solo album.
I like Billy joel so much because of his songs that have a special attraction to draw all people's attention. I guess it is a gentle, powerfuly, and sometimes pensive voice. For example, one of his famous songs,"Tell her about it" explesses about love strongly. I always listento Billy Joels songs.

Sosuke Uematsu

hi
